The team

Practitioners who have sat in your seat.

Sawyer is a deliberately small firm. Every engagement is led and staffed by seasoned consultants with years inside real privacy programs, not a leverage pyramid with a partner on the letterhead.

The practice

Why we do this.

What kept us in privacy was never the regulations. It is the moment a room full of smart people finally understands what the law actually asks of them, and realizes it is less scary than they thought. We love being the ones who get them there.

We have worked in and alongside privacy teams in pharmaceutical, financial services, and technology organizations. The requirements are table stakes for us: GDPR, CCPA and the state laws that keep arriving, HIPAA, GLBA, and now AI governance. What makes the work valuable is knowing your business.

Before we advise anyone, we listen. We sit with the teams who actually touch the data, learn how decisions really get made, then build guidance that fits. We stay through implementation and operations, not just through the report. And we pick up the phone when you call.

We take pride in making hard things feel easy.

The standard every engagement is held to

How we carry ourselves

Three habits you will notice.

Plain language

If guidance needs a glossary, it is not finished. We write and speak so decisions can actually be made.

Long-term embed

Trust compounds. We stay through implementation and operations, not just through the report.

Judgment over templates

Checklists start conversations. Judgment closes them. Your program should match your risk tolerance, not a framework diagram.

Your first conversation is with a practice lead, not a sales team.
